EEOC Pandemic Planning Support (2007)

Excalibur conducted an assessment of existing EEOC Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and occupancy plans.  Deliverables included the development of a draft COOP template for pandemic's influenza as well as other COOP-related documents.

National Animal Health Emergency Response Corps (2006 - 2007)

Excalibur developed a National Animal Health Emergency Response Corps recruitment program for veterinary professionals, animal health care professional and para-professionals, animal health care workers, retired health care professionals, and veterinary students at veterinary association conferences and meetings, veterinary colleges, and regional Native American Tribal meetings.

Fire Management Planning Technical Support (2004 - 2005)

Excalibur developed and coordinated a series of county-level Comprehensive Fire Management Plans which identified available fire management resources; a chain of command and communications for Incident Command; Emergency Fire Operation Flow Chart which identified trigger points; and GIS maps with overlays to assist fire responders.

Occupational Safety & Health Assessments (2004 - 2005)

Excalibur assisted the Office of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment to conduct occupational safety and health hazard analyses of airport screening operations and working environments. Excalibur identified existing and potential hazards to TSA personnel and operations, risk-ranked identified hazards, collected accident experience data, and provided an overall analysis of risk potential.

Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratory
Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Safety Support Services (2001 - 2006)

Excalibur identified worker hazards and defined engineering and administrative controls to ensure compliance with DOE Order 440.1 and applicable OSHA standards during the Title I and Title II design phase for a prototype plutonium disassembly and conversion facility.  Excalibur defined the types and locations of installed industrial hygiene monitoring equipment to provide warning to workers of changes in hazardous conditions, and to minimize personnel exposures.  Excalibur identified emergency preparedness requirements for effective response to include the identification and analysis of hazards and threats, and hazard mitigation measures for incorporation into the design of the facility.

Environmental Support Services (2001)

Excalibur supported decommissioning and decontamination activities, including the removal of hoods within the Denver Federal Center, performed an area baseline of rooms during abatement activities, collected air samples and data from the workers, and provided asbestos clearance sampling (close out survey) of all areas and developed a detailed final report.

Fire Protection Engineering Services (2000)

Excalibur provided fire protection engineering services to identify fire hazards, determine fire code compliance, develop fire-related health and safety practices, and assist in maintaining a fire safe work environment.

Bechtel Idaho, LLC
Fire Protection Engineering Support Services (2000)

Excalibur conducted and documented combined fire hazards analysis and fire safety assessments for the Idaho National Laboratory in accordance with Department of Energy (DOE) Order 420.1 – Fire Safety, and Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC Procedures PRD-199 Fire Protection Program, PRD-200 Fire Hazards Analysis, MCP-579 Performing Fire Hazards Analysis and MCP-583 Performing Fire Safety Assessments. Analyses were completed for the Advanced Test Reactor Support Facilities, Nuclear Materials Inspection & Storage facilities, Test Reactor Area Hot Cells and the Engineering Test Reactor.

Fire Protection Baseline Analysis (1999)

Excalibur subcontracted to AlphaTrac, Inc., to develop a comprehensive and detailed Fire Protection Baseline Analysis to assess hazards from a fire safety perspective for both life safety and property protection, including the assessment of facilities and facility system operations.
